YastrowCORFAC Affiliates were treated to a session from Steve Yastrow (@steveyastrow) at our 2014 Fall Summit in Chicago last week.  Yastrow led a 90-minute workshop based on his recent book, Ditch The Pitch.

Passionate by nature, Yastrow explained that planned pitches don’t work because you can’t plan for the mood of the meeting or the needs of the customer  In order to be successful, you have to encounter every minute and every customer as fresh. Over the course of his time in front of the CORFAC audience, Yastrow explained how to use conversational tactics that emphasize client-prospect engagement and ultimately lead to leveraging the art of persuasion rather than hard-core selling techniques.

He also covered his habits for successfully ditching the pitch: figure out what’s going on, go with the flow, and let a shared story emerge. Attendees received a copy of his book, which can be purchased on his website: http://yastrow.com/books/. CORFAC Affiliates can log in to the Extranet to download an audio recording of the session.
