Bio

Derek has a proven track record in BC’s commercial real estate marketplace and extensive property knowledge across various asset classes including: industrial, retail, office, multi-family, hospitality, health care, storage, land and micro cap business transactions. Derek has previous related career experience in finance and sales working for Wells Fargo, GE Capital and Ledcor for a number of years. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria. Prior to joining Macdonald Commercial, Derek successfully participated in commercial sale transactions totaling over $825 M in volume across various Metro Vancouver submarkets and in urban centers throughout British Columbia. Derek has a strong commitment to accelerating the growth and ultimate success of his clients’ business ventures and he has a solid track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders to complete their objectives. Some of Derek's business interests include: commercial real estate investment, buy outs/buy ins, divestments, private & public transactions, capital injections, turnaround opportunities, resource investments and joint venture partnerships.
