Boyd Commercial/CORFAC International Names Greg Shaw as Director of Office Brokerage
Houston, TX (April 22, 2014) – In an effort to increase its market coverage and grow a service line, David M. Boyd, SIOR, CCIM and a Principal with Boyd Commercial/CORFAC International announced today that Gregory P. Shaw has joined the firm as Director of Office Brokerage.
Shaw is tasked with growing the firm’s office brokerage business and particularly, increasing its tenant representation business in the Houston marketplace. Shaw will also pursue third-party agency opportunities, all of which will lead to the likely hiring of additional office specialists.
“We’re known as a leading industrial brokerage company in Houston yet the fact is we’ve handled some significant office transactions for our corporate clients. We think there is opportunity in the office sector to increase our market share and we’ve tapped the right guy to do it,” said Boyd.
Shaw is a long-time Houstonian and a 30-year veteran of Houston real estate. He and his family live in the Memorial area. Since 2004, Shaw has overseen Prescott Realty Group’s Houston office as Managing Director with responsibility for overall asset management, leasing production and profitability.
Earlier in his career Shaw was Director of Leasing in the Houston office of Insignia/ESG and was the company’s top producer in four out of seven years. He joined Insignia/ESG when the firm acquired his previous employer, Paragon Group, Inc., in 1996. His career highlights include the disposition of Arena Tower II, a 387,000-square-foot office project located in southwest Houston and the repositioning of 363 North Belt, a 386,000-square-foot office building in the Greenspoint submarket. He also was instrumental in the lease-up of Eldridge Place, a 520,000-square-foot Class ‘A’ project in Houston’s Energy Corridor that he converted from its original occupancy of 30 percent to 94 percent, which facilitated its ultimate sale.
A licensed Texas real estate broker, Shaw graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
