CARROLLTON, Texas – Variosystems Inc. has purchased a 14,550-sf light-industrial building in Valwood Industrial Park for its international headquarters. The electronics service company is planning to relocate in 60 to 90 days to 1628 Valwood Parkway, Carrollton, from leased space in Southlake.

"We were looking for quite a while to find the ideal location. This is the perfect fit, including its proximity to Variosystems' employee base," says Richmond Collinsworth, vice president of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International.

Variosystems has acquired a former call center on nearly 3.5 acres from Global Harvest Church, which was represented by George Tanghongs of Lee & Associates. The just-bought property is readily accessible to Interstates 35 and 635 and the George Bush Turnpike.

"This was a good opportunity to buy good real estate at a low replacement cost in one of the hottest markets in the country," Collinsworth emphasizes.

Developed in 1986, the single-story building offers the right location, open office design and infrastructure, including a back-up generator. The fully air conditioned tech space will be retooled to include employee areas.

Founded in 1993, Variosystems specializes in engineering and global project management. It has grown into one of the largest privately owned contract electronics manufacturers in the world, employing more than 1,100 professionals in the U.S., Switzerland, Sri Lanka and China.
