Dallas, TX (May 12, 2014) – Already making his mark in the industry, Richmond Collinsworth has joined Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International as vice president in the office division to advance a career he's pursued since his youth in Midland, Texas.
In less than five years in Dallas/Fort Worth, Collinsworth has earned numerous awards as a rising star in commercial real estate. He most recently was a vice president at TIG, where he consistently distinguished himself as a top producer.
Collinsworth was born into the industry, the son of a commercial real estate attorney with a mixed-use portfolio of commercial assets. “Growing up, I remember sitting in the backseat of the car while my dad was hashing out the deal,” he says. “And as I got older, I continued to learn the business from the bottom up, beginning with mowing properties, painting and cleaning out vacant buildings.”
Collinsworth worked at Advantage Realty, a boutique firm in Tuscaloosa while attending the University of Alabama, and interned with TIG in Dallas. He graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's of science degree in commerce and business administration, majoring in real estate finance, and Argus certification – and immediately went to work full time at TIG. In 2013, he received a master's degree in business administration, specializing in real estate, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and was an SIOR scholarship recipient.
"Real estate is in my blood," Collinsworth says. "It’s the only thing I’ve known that I wanted to do growing up.”
Despite the family ties to Midland, Dallas is where he wanted to be. He is a member of The Real Estate Council, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, State Fair of Texas and Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
"I joined Bradford because it's a one-stop shop, where we can find the deal, underwrite the acquisition, create and execute our leasing and management strategy and create value for the client," Collinsworth says. "Real value is understanding the bricks 'n sticks and the spreadsheets. A lot of people only understand one or the other."
Collinsworth's extensive education and experience in a variety of real estate disciplines, including a stint as a petroleum landman, gives him a different perspective when he delves into a deal. "His skill set is so much more diverse than you prototypical project leasing agent," says Ed Pachecano, senior vice president, managing partner and head of Bradford's office leasing division."He understands how to bring value to a building because he can view it as an owner. He brings a higher level of service to our team and adds a critical element to our office platform."
Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International is a full-service real estate company based in Dallas with an annual transactions volume exceeding five million square feet. The company manages and leases more than 20 million square feet, valued at $300 million, in North Texas for its strategic partners.
