Dallas, TX (September 15, 2014) - In a testament to her professionalism and community service, Leigh C. Richter, senior vice president of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International, has been accorded the 2014 Outstanding Achievement Award by Commercial Real Estate Women Dallas.

Richter, marking her 33rd year in commercial real estate, was one of four finalists vying for CREW's top honor, which fetes a member's career, professional distinction, industry peer recognition, service to the community and involvement in CREW Dallas and/or CREW Network.

"This is the highest recognition my peers could give me. Being generous with connections, knowledge and time definitely comes back to you," says Richter, who also heads investment services and retail marketing departments for Dallas-based Bradford. She credits her late father, Fred Cosby, for providing her with the life skills to be a respected professional.

"It's always important to take the high road and be ethical and fair. My name and reputation is all I've got. I never let a commission come between me, my name and reputation," Richter says. "This award is publicly validating who I am. I don't need that, but it's incredibly nice to have been selected."

Richter joined Bradford in 2009 after rising through the ranks at several leading commercial real estate companies in Dallas/Fort Worth. She began her career as manager of Executive Enterprises, where she was tasked with leasing 28 executive suites, contract negotiations and collections and management of the secretarial/answering service. A certified property manager since 1985, Richter holds a B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University, where she currently serves on the Cox Associate Board and mentors MBA students. She also has served on the boards of Dallas Women's Foundation, Our Friends Place, Preservation Dallas, IREM Dallas chapter and Urban Armadillos.

Richter has been actively involved in CREW Dallas since 1985, serving as president in 2008 and leading numerous strategic committees for 10 consecutive years. In 2012, Richter was selected as the first recipient of CREW in the Community for her contributions to the non-profit community.

"Leigh has produced an outstanding body of work over her career. This is recognition for her stellar performance, her commitment to service and volunteering, and her leadership roles throughout the infancy and growth of the CREW Dallas chapter," says Kevin J. Santaularia, president and CEO of Bradford.

This year marks the 30th year that Outstanding Achievement Award has been presented to a CREW Dallas member. The other finalists were Brenda Blake, CEO of B&J Financial Services; Julie Brand Lynch, principal of Lynous Talent Management; and Brenda Brantley, CFO of the LaSalle Group. Four hundred people attended the awards ceremony, held recently at Belo Mansion in Downtown Dallas.
