CORFAC Firms Complete Transactions for Investors, Owner/Occupiers, and Startups

Falls Church, VA (July 31, 2013) – 2013 CORFAC International President Bill Hawkins, SIOR, announced some of CORFAC International’s major completed transactions during July and noted the exceptional scope of the deals and the strength of CORFAC clients represented in the lease and sale agreements.

Chicago, IL:
Steven H. Podolsky, SIOR and Corey B. Chase of Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International represented a Boston-based real estate investment company in the acquisition of an industrial portfolio in excess of 1 million square feet in Belvidere, IL. The seller was The LandMark Group, one of the largest private development companies in the Midwest.

New York, NY: Clay Peeples, SIOR, with Boyd Commercial/CORFAC International in Houston, TX and Timothy Surlis of Lansco Corp./CORFAC International in New York, NY represented Houston-based NF Smith & Associates in a 7,744-square-foot office lease expansion at 1 Penn Plaza, New York. NF Smith & Associates was recently ranked by Electronic Business Magazine as the No. 1 Independent Distributor of Electronic Components in the world.  The company, a leader in supply chain strategies, has 13 offices on three continents and over 350 employees.

Weston, FL: Ken Morris, SIOR, of Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International represented managing consulting and outsourcing firm Auxis LLC in a 6,421-square-foot office lease expansion at Crossroads Business Park in Plantation, FL. Auxis made the South Florida Business Journal’s list of the Top 25 Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in 2011, and then in 2013, the Business Journal named them Fastest-Growing Information Technology Consulting Firm in the region.

Troy, MI: Garry Rogers and Jason Capitani of L. Mason Capitani/CORFAC International represented Rave’s Construction in the purchase of a 438,860-square-foot industrial facility located at 21439-21445 Hoover Road in Warren, MI. Founded in 2000, Rave’s Construction is one of the largest design and construction companies in the Midwest serving commercial supermarket chains, restaurants and grocery stores.

Brea, CA: Mitch Zellner and Seth Davenport of Voit Real Estate Services/CORFAC International represented Higman Family Trust in the sale of a 45,439-square-foot industrial building located at 640 N. Puente Street in this Orange County city. The buyer, H-Squared Properties LLC paid a little more than $5.5 million for the asset.
