CORFAC Transaction Volume. CORFAC firms continue to generate a great deal of business with an estimated 11,000 closed sale and lease transactions valued in excess of $8.5 billion and totaling more than 550 million square feet.
Six New Firms Joined CORFAC. CORFAC welcomed two domestic firms, one Canadian firm and three international firms in 2017, including our first-ever offices in Africa and Australia. Thanks to Wolf Commercial Real Estate (Philadelphia, PA), Berger Commercial (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Realty Advisors Ltd., Brokerage (Toronto, Canada), Axis Properties (Australia), Bridgemer AG (Switzerland) and Spire Property Broking Ltd. (South Africa) for joining the CORFAC network. CORFAC continues to seek out exceptional firms in numerous target markets worldwide.
Two World-Class Conferences. CORFAC held two industry-leading networking events in 2017: The Spring Conference in San Diego, CA, and the Fall Summit in Denver, CO. The two events averaged 130 member attendees and 12 industry-leading event sponsors. In 2019, CORFAC looks forward to holding its Spring Conference in Phoenix, AZ, and Fall Summit in Atlanta, GA.
First-Ever Global Fall Summit. CORFAC approved plans to host its first overseas Fall Summit in London, England, in Fall 2018. The event will include a wide range of educational speakers and programming, special events and tours.
International Affiliate Meeting. CORFAC was pleased to hold its annual business development session for global members in St. Petersburg, Russia, last June. The international affiliates are planning the 2018 International Affiliate Meeting in Bucharest, Romania, June 21-25.
New CORFAC.com. CORFAC launched a new, state-of-the-industry website that showcases the global expertise of our network. The site features an extensive members-only area that provides a best practices library, online tools, a client database and more.
Interactive Deal-Making Sessions. New channels of networking and business development were forged during our two interactive Deal-Making Events at the Spring Conference and Fall Summit. With an emphasis on relationship-building, the interactive events have focused on domestic brokers, international members and Next Generation brokers.
Member-to-Member Referral Business. CORFAC recorded more than 95 member-to-member referral transactions last year in the office, industrial, retail, land and R&D/flex sectors.
COR$TAR and Standards of Excellence Awards. CORFAC recognized members and firms with two awards programs last year. The 2016 COR$TAR Awards, which were presented at the Spring Conference, recognize the largest member-to-member referral transactions in dollar value and size, the individual with the most number of referrals and the firm with the most number of referrals. The Standards of Excellence Awards recognized firms who met exceptional criteria for upholding CORFAC standards and individual members who earned special awards.
Membership Milestones. A dozen CORFAC affiliate firms celebrated membership milestones in 2017. We congratulate the following on their years of participation in the network: 25 years – Porter Realty, Richmond, VA; and The Garibaldi Group, Chatham, NJ; 20 years – Providence Commercial Real Estate, San Antonio, TX; 15 years - The Dickman Company, Milwaukee, WI; The Andover Company, Seattle, WA; Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties, Wilmington, DE; 10 years – ProTen Realty Group, Chicago, IL; Bradford Commercial, Dallas and Ft. Worth, TX; Weber Wood Medinger, Cleveland, OH; and 5 years – Bright Rich, St. Petersburg, Russia; Il Punto Real Estate Advisors, Milan, Italy; and Meacham/Oppenheimer, San Jose, CA.
Industry Recognition: CORFAC was pleased to be ranked 16th on the 2017 Lipsey Company’s Top 25 Brands in Commercial Real Estate survey.
ICSC's RECon and Presence at Industry Trade Shows. CORFAC and several affiliate firms returned to the industry's largest retail event after a 10-year hiatus. CORFAC also participated in these industry events last year: CCIM, SIOR, Expo Real, MIPIM and ICSC New York.
New Public Relations Consultant. CORFAC hired public relations consultant KT Public Relations, led by Patricia True Agos, to spearhead the organization's global brand awareness efforts, new advertising campaign and public relations initiatives.
New Integrated Marketing and Global Services Manager. Formerly part-time International Coordinator Kristy Schlossberg joined the staff full time to support CORFAC's growing integrated marketing, social media and global member initiatives.
New Advertising and Marketing Materials. CORFAC laid the foundation to launch a new advertising campaign in 2018 and to supply six new marketing tools to members in the year ahead.
New Industry Partnerships. CORFAC forged new relationships with several industry-leading service providers who offer education, discounts and deals to our members, including: Apto, Buildout, Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Realcore, Real Capital Analytics and Ten-X.
Supporting Our Members. CORFAC made a contribution to assist Houston and the Gulf Coast region in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey last fall.
