Washington, D.C (August 29, 2012) - The Eldon Hotel, located at 933 L Street, N.W., has been acquired by Grasshopper Hospitality, LLC.  Bill Moyer, Vice President and Charlotte Seale, Associate Broker of Donohoe represented the Buyer.

Originally an apartment building built in 1926, this Historic eight (8) story building was completely restored in 2008 and re-opened in March 2009 as an Upscale Luxury Suite Hotel. The hotel contains 50 suites ranging from 650 to 1500 square feet. Each suite features a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops with exquisite polished granite floors and custom birch wood wall treatments.

Grasshopper Hospitality, LLC, a hotel owner and operator in the District of Columbia, will be adding The Eldon to their portfolio of Independent Hotels.

Donohoe Hotel Brokerage has previously worked with Grasshopper Hospitality, LLC. “The sale required a Buyer with the ability to close quickly.  We have sold three hotels to this investor and knew they would be well qualified and able to meet the Seller's timetable.” said Charlotte Seale.
