COLUMBIA, Md. (Jan. 5, 2010) – Owen Rouse Jr., senior vice president, director of capital markets for Manekin, LLC/CORFAC Int'l has been elected president of Corporate Facility Advisors–CORFAC International,one of world’s largest commercial real estate services organizations. 

“CORFAC International has evolved into a solutions-oriented real estate organization comprising “best-in class” companies and I am honored to lead this great organization,” said Rouse, who joined CORFAC International’s board of directors in 1999, and has served on the executive committee since 2006.Rouse’s 29-year career in commercial real estate has covered several disciplines including acquisition, disposition, construction, appraisal, portfolio management, loan workouts and consulting assignments. He joined Manekin in 1995, and has directed the firm’s investment services and brokerage divisions.Currently, he is responsible for raising equity for the firm and identifying projects that match the profile of the equity. In addition to his leadership role at Manekin and CORFAC, Rouse serves on the Stevenson University Presidential Advisory Council and the Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation board.A past president of Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake and NAIOP-Maryland, he also has served on the advisory board of Loyola College’s Sellinger School of Business and been a guest lecturer at Johns Hopkins University’s Berman School of Real Estate.Rouse holds a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) and an MBA from Loyola College’s Sellinger School of Business. He resides in Baltimore’s Ruxton community, with his wife, Anne.
