Michigan and Colorado CORFAC Affiliates Close Ft. Collins Sale

Denver, CO (August 17, 2012) - Brady Welsh of Bitzer Real Estate Partners/CORFAC International represented GreenPath Debt Solutions in a transaction referred by the CORFAC International affiliate in Detroit, MI.  The sale was a 7,559-sq. ft. office building located at 1247 Riverside Avenue, Fort Collins, CO. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

The buyers, Melott Buildings LLC, intend to remodel the property to accommodate a new Little Bears Daycare center. Melott Buildings, LLC was represented by Michelle Hickey-Crawford with the commercial division of RE/MAX Alliance Inc. It will be the third Little Bears Daycare center in Ft. Collins. The company operates one at 1900 South Lemay Avenue and another at 2551 Hampshire Road.

Welsh collaborated with Gary Grochowski, SIOR of L. Mason Capitani/CORFAC International in Michigan who represents GreenPath nationally and has been assisting the company with the realignment of their real estate portfolio across the country.

“This is a great example of the benefits of a national affiliation like CORFAC International,” said Welsh. “Serving more than 150 markets worldwide allows us to efficiently maintain multi-market relationships with our clients while providing a high level of service.”

GreenPath, based in Farmington Hills, MI, is one of the nation’s largest non-profit credit counseling agencies.  They are relocating their offices in Ft. Collins and will continue to offer debt solutions to the regional community.

GreenPath has grown in recent years due to the economy and also by acquiring similar firms. Grochowski and L. Mason Capitani/CORFAC International were originally hired to sell GreenPath’s Farmington Hills headquarters (which it did), a 36,000-square-foot office building. To accommodate its growth, GreenPath built a new, 125,000-square-foot headquarters nearby. Grochowski also worked with a CORFAC affiliate in San Antonio, TX to identify a capable broker in Corpus Christi, and sold an office building there. Grochowski is currently co-listing a 10,000-square-foot office building for sale in Concord, NH and working with James Stubblebine of The Stubblebine Company/CORFAC International to execute the disposition.
