Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC Awarded Management Contracts and Agency Leasing for Two Properties

Weston, FL (May 14, 2013) – Ken Morris, SIOR and Principal of Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International announced that his firm has been awarded the property management contracts and leasing assignments for an office building in Deerfield Beach and a medical office building in Miami, FL.

The Deerfield Beach office building is a two-story, 55,000-square-foot Class B building that is fully leased and owned by Florida Motels Group, which recently acquired the asset from FG Deerfield Investments. Morris Southeast Group was the exclusive leasing agent for the building prior to the sale and was subsequently awarded the management and leasing contracts by the new ownership.

The new owner plans to make some upgrades to the exterior of the property this year, which was built in 1982 and partially renovated in 2011. The property’s address is 350 Jim Moran Blvd. in Broward County’s Pompano Beach submarket.

In a separate transaction, Florida Motels Group also acquired a 34,000-square-foot medical office building known as Coral West Plaza 5 in Miami. The property is fully leased and Morris Southeast Group was also awarded the management and leasing assignments for this asset as well. The property’s address is 13780 SW 26th Street in Dade County’s Miami airport submarket.
 
Koreena (‘Koree’) Rivers, the recently promoted Vice President of Morris Southeast Group (MSEG) will be managing both assets on behalf of MSEG and supported by Maria Lima, Controller of Morris Southeast Group with oversight of the firm’s financial reporting in the property management unit of the company. They will also be responsible for agency leasing at the Coral West Plaza building while Koree Rivers and Ken Morris are the leasing agents for the office building on Jim Moran Blvd.

Morris Southeast Group also manages Sawgrass Business Plaza in the southwestern Broward County city of Sunrise. Comprised of approximately 60,000 square feet of offices in three single-story buildings, the property is nearly 90 percent occupied.
