Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International Awarded Property Management Contract at Sawgrass Business Plaza in Sunrise Florida

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (August 8, 2012) – Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International President Ken Morris, SIOR announced today that his firm was awarded the property management contract for Sawgrass Business Plaza in Sunrise, FL.

Sawgrass Business Park is comprised of approximately 60,000 square feet of offices in three single-story buildings and is nearly 90 percent occupied. Located near I-595 and the Sawgrass Expressway by IKEA, Sawgrass Business Park is in southwestern Broward County about six miles from Ft. Lauderdale.

Koree Rivers of Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International, is the new manager of the property on behalf of its owner, Sawgrass Business Plaza, LLC. Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International has managed leasing (and will continue to do so) at Sawgrass Business Plaza since 2006 and completed numerous lease transactions at the property, among them: Lamorte Burns & Co., Imagine Charter Schools, Dragados-Baker Joint Venture, LearningSmart LLC, JDS Uniphase Corp., McGraw Hill and Steven Eisenberg, CPA.

As property manager, Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International’s new business park duties include:
 
Manage, control, and maintain the property, with authority to collect, on owner’s behalf, all rents and other monies and securities from tenants in the property, and issue receipts therefor, and with full responsibility for interfacing with all tenants, vendors, suppliers, and other third parties, as owner’s agent, in all matters pertaining to the property. Further, Ms. Rivers will arrange for, coordinate, and supervise necessary repairs and/or improvements at the property, purchase necessary supplies for the operation and management of the property, hire third-party vendors as are necessary for the operation and maintenance of the property and supervise owner’s on-site maintenance personnel.

Morris Southeast Group/CORFAC International also manages a pair of Plantation office buildings – the iconic Bank of America Plaza at 1776 N. Pine Island Road and its adjacent BB&T Building at 300 S. Pine Island Road. Combined, the three-story buildings total 155,000 square feet.
