Charlotte, NC (February 15, 2013) – Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International, a  leading  full-service commercial real estate provider serving the Charlotte market and surrounding areas, today  announced the completion of  a 7,830 square foot lease on behalf of ToolBank at 2513 S Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC.

ToolBank will occupy the entire industrial building at 2513 S Tryon Street, which is privately owned, for their non-profit operations.  They are currently undergoing renovations and anticipate hosting their reopening in April 2013.

The Charlotte Community ToolBank is a non-profit tool lending program that serves charitable organizations in our community by putting high-quality tools in the hands of the volunteers who are painting schools, repairing seniors’ roofs, landscaping public spaces, and more, guaranteeing that every volunteer is equipped with the tools they need to get the job done.  Currently, the ToolBank serves over 150 charitable organizations in the Charlotte area, providing them access to a massive inventory of over 140 different types of high-quality tools in volumes large enough to equip thousands of volunteers at a time.  Some of the charitable organizations that are eligible to use ToolBank are schools; PTAs/PTOs; neighborhood associations; faith-based groups; civic organizations; and government agencies. Since opening in March of 2011, the Charlotte ToolBank has equipped 17,000 volunteers with the tools needed to complete nearly 700 projects.  Over $377,000 in ToolBank equipment has been deployed in the Charlotte area for a cost of $11,300. The math is simple. The presence of the ToolBank means more social capital is available for charitable agencies to do more good in our community.

Frank A. McCleneghan, broker, Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International represented the tenant in the negotiations and the landlord was represented by Doug Wynne, broker, Perennial Commercial Real Estate.

“Close proximity to Center City and I-277 were instrumental in picking this location for ToolBank.  Beds for Kids, another non-profit organization, is located next door; making their new location more enticing,” said Frank A. McCleneghan, broker, Piedmont Properties/CORFAC International.
