Portland’s Robbie McEachern Named 2012 Chair of CORFAC International’s Next Generation Advisory CouncilFalls Church, VA (February 8, 2012) – Executive Director Susan S. Newman of CORFAC International (Corporate Facility Advisors) today announced that Robbie McEachern, an Associate Broker in Portland, Oregon’s Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International, was appointed as the 2012 Chair of CORFAC’s Next Generation Advisory Council.CORFAC International is an affiliation-based organization comprised of independent and entrepreneurial commercial real estate firms with 80 offices in North America and market coverage in 65 countries. Capacity Commercial is CORFAC’s official affiliate in Portland and responsible for office and industrial market coverage in the region.Initiated in 2008 as part of CORFAC International’s strategic plan, the Next Generation Advisory Council is a working group currently comprised of 82 commercial real estate professionals in 35 U.S. states who are either under the age of 40 or have fewer than five years’ experience in commercial real estate. The Council’s mission is to assist CORFAC firms in the effective integration of the Next Generation of brokers and personnel in the operation of their firms to insure the firm’s viability and success in the future.McEachern’s principal duties as Chair are to moderate professional development ‘Best Practices’ webinars and conference calls in which participants discuss and share working experiences and learn from each other with the input of veteran commercial real estate professionals from CORFAC firms. McEachern will also manage committee meetings at CORFAC’s two national conferences in 2012 – in San Antonio (March) and Boston (September). McEachern is 27.A native Oregonian who graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics, Robbie McEachern joined Capacity Commercial Group/CORFAC International in 2008after a successful career in outside sales in the commercial security industry. At Capacity Commercial, he represents tenants in the market for leased space, owner/users of commercial property and buyers and sellers in the acquisition or disposition of industrial property. Some recent transactions in which he has participated include a lease representing Tucker Rocky Distributing in a 76,403-square-foot deal in Fairview, OR and A.S.E. Supply in the purchase of a 25,000-square-foot industrial building in Northeast Portland, OR.McEachern’s Next Generation Advisory Council co-chairs are Aleks Trifunovic with The Klabin Company/CORFAC International in Los Angeles, CA, Sean Durkin with The Andover Company/CORFAC International in Seattle, WA and Adam Tarantur with Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International in Chicago, IL.“My partners and I are excited about growing our firm with dynamic young professionals like Robbie.
