St. Louis, MO (July 17, 2012)  Indiana-based hhgregg has recently expanded into Missouri and Illinois markets. New stores will be located in Fairview Heights, Illinois, Fenton, Missouri, Chesterfield, Missouri and St. Peters, Missouri. All but the Chesterfield store are located in shopping centers that had existing space to lease. The Chesterfield store is currently under construction and will be a freestanding building. All four locations are planning late summer 2012 openings. Sansone Group/CORFAC International of St. Louis is representing the Tenant, hhgregg, in their expansion efforts.

According to Grant Mechlin, Sansone Group’s Sr. Associate in Retail and Tenant Representation, “hhgregg will likely continue to focus on the Missouri and southern Illinois markets for future expansion once their initial store rollout is complete. They typically lease between 25,000-30,000 square feet in a Junior Anchor capacity.”

Starting with just one 800 square foot store in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1955, what is now the appliance and consumer electronics superstore, have steadily been popping up throughout the east and working their way westward, with over 190 locations in 19 states.
