CULVER CITY, CA – In a move aimed at accommodating their rapid expansion, Punch Studio, a leading manufacturer of gift and stationery items, has paid $10.8 million for a 41,000 square foot office building in Culver City, CA to serve as its primary design studio and administrative offices.
Todd Kirshner, owner of Punch Studio, said the newly acquired two-story office building, located at 6025 Slauson Ave. in Playa Corporate Center, is next door to the company’s existing office and warehouse facility. He said it will be joined to their current facility with the addition of a new wing connecting the two buildings. The new complex, scheduled to be completed in late 2011, will total approximately 140,000 square feet and will be valued at approximately $35 million upon completion, Kirshner said.Ron Rader, SIOR, a principal and executive vice president in The Klabin Co./CORFAC International’s Los Angeles office, and Doug Marshall, also a Klabin principal, represented Punch Studio. Kirshner said Punch Studio purchased the building because it needed both more warehouse and office space. He said 100 to 120 people will be employed at the site. “We have been looking for some time to find a location near our current facility to accommodate our rapid growth. There are very few industrial buildings in excess of 100,000 square feet located in Culver City, and we wanted to make sure we retained our key employees. We are fortunate to have found the perfect building right in our own front yard which can readily be combined with our existing warehouse to afford us the total amount of space we need,” Kirshner said. The new office building features outstanding Marina Freeway (90) identity, 149 parking spaces (116 subterranean), a 24 strand Fiber-Optic Broadband Cable System, and second floor balconies. Westfield’s “Shoppingtown Regional Mall” is located across the street.
