San Antonio, TX (July 21, 2011) –Dan Gostylo, aPrincipal of Providence Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International, based in San Antonio announced the acquisition of a 60-acre industrial property in Southeast Bexar County by Baker Hughes Incorporated for an undisclosed price.Baker Hughes is a Houston-based, oilfield supplier company and plans to develop property at Interstate 37 and U.S. 181 to establish an administrative headquarters serving South Texas. Southeast Bexar County is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical area. The land purchased by Baker Hughes is about 10 minutes by car from downtown San Antonio. Gostylo, Phil Crane, CCIM – who is also with Providence Commercial Real Estate Services/CORFAC International, and R. Conrad Bernard, SIOR with Houston-based Boyd Commercial LLC/CORFAC International, represented Baker Hughes in the property acquisition. Bernard has represented Baker Hughes in multiple acquisition and disposition transactions over the years, totaling in excess of 5 million square feet of commercial space, including the relocation of its world headquarters.In public statements, Baker Hughes Incorporated said it would build a $30 million operations center in Southeast Bexar County to support the booming activity in the Eagle Ford shale and eventually create more than 400 local jobs.
