San Diego, CA (April 16, 2013) - Voit Real Estate Services/CORFAC International is pleased to announce the addition of Adam Smith to the San Diego office’s brokerage team as Land Services Advisor.

“Voit’s depth of expertise and presence in San Diego continues to rise,” according to Chris Wood, Managing Director in Voit’s San Diego office. “We started with some of the best brokers in San Diego, and we are attracting more top industry talent, which further solidifies our strength in the market.”

Voit is actively recruiting, according to Wood, who says the firm is targeting to add eight to ten top industry professionals to the team in 2013.

Prior to joining Voit, Smith ran his own firm, Adam Smith Realty Advisors, where he represented buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of properties with particular expertise in land transactions.

Prior to forming ASRA, Smith completed acquisitions totaling $360 million as Director of Land Acquisition with John Laing Homes and as Senior Acquisitions Analyst with K. Hovnanian.  Before entering the homebuilding industry, Smith sourced commercial real estate investment opportunities in the western United States as Senior Associate at the AFL-CIO Investment Trust, a real estate pension fund.

Smith began his career as a real estate attorney advising clients on zoning, land use, and transactional matters in Washington, D.C. He is a California Real Estate Broker, Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Massachusetts.

Smith received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bates College, his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
